Als je nog geen schoudersteun hebt, schaf je er best eentje aan. Een bijpassende Serafs FSR1814 schoudersteun vind je ook bij StringsWings: let op: enkel de maat voor 1/8-1/4 past.  
Een stemapparaatje is ook handig. Je vindt een geschikt exemplaar, de Cason CS620 of de Joyo JT-01.

LET OP! Ben je niet helemaal zeker van de juiste maat? Kijk het hieronder na VOOR je bestelt:
Meet van onder de schouder tot aan de vingertoppen. Kijk vooral naar de armlengte. De leeftijd in de tabel is een indicatie. Dit klopt niet altijd. Het ene kind is het andere niet.

Enkele belangrijke opmerkingen bij het kopen van een viool en/of strijkstok:

1. VIOOLMAAT. Weet je zeker dat je de juiste maat hebt gekozen? Zo niet, dan is het best om het nu te regelen, zodat je niet te lang hoeft te wachten om de juiste viool bij je thuis te krijgen.

2. LANG HARSEN. Als je een viool in gebruik neemt, verzadig dan de strijkstok door gedurende minstens vijftien minuten hars over de haren te wrijven. Het harsblokje is meegeleverd. Zodra er wit poeder op de haren zit, kan je de strijkstok proberen. Als er een heldere toon uit de viool komt, ben je klaar.

3. LET OP DE SPANNING. Door aan de schroef bij de slof te draaien kan je de boog spannen. Span de boog niet te strak! Je moet de haren nog soepel tegen het hout kunnen duwen. Ook in opgespannen toestand moet de afstand tussen haren en stok kleiner zijn dan aan de slof. Ontspan de boog steeds na gebruik.

4. STEMKNOPPEN DRAAIEN EN DUWEN. Soms lijkt een viool niet te stemmen. De stemknoppen zijn van effen conisch hardhout en draaien terug, wanneer je ze aandraait. Dat is normaal wanneer je ze niet stevig in de andere kant van het kopstuk duwt. O dit te doen houd je de knopvleugel in de juiste stempositie met je ene hand en met de andere neem je het kopstuk aan de andere kant stevig vast. Dan duw je de knop in het gat aan de andere kant, tot het stevig vastzit. Als je hiermee je viool gestemd hebt, kan je de finetuners gebruiken, die op het staartstuk zitten (zwarte of chrome knopjes). De grote stemknoppen worden dan veel minder gebruikt.

Si vous n'avez pas encore d'épaulière, vous devriez vous en procurer une. Vous pouvez également trouver une épaulière Serafs FSR1814 assortie chez StringsWings : remarque : seule la taille pour 1/8-1/4 convient.
Un dispositif de réglage est également utile. Vous en trouverez un adapté, le Cason CS620 ou le Joyo JT-01.

Attention ! Vous n'êtes pas sûr de la bonne taille ? Veuillez vérifier ci-dessous AVANT de commander :
Mesurez du dessous de l’épaule jusqu’au bout des doigts. Portez une attention particulière à la longueur des bras. L'âge indiqué dans le tableau est indicatif. Ce n'est pas toujours correct. Un enfant n’est pas pareil à l’autre.

Quelques remarques importantes lors de l’achat d’un violon et/ou d’un archet :

1. TAILLE DU VIOLON. Etes-vous sûr d'avoir choisi la bonne taille ? Si ce n'est pas le cas, il est préférable de l'organiser dès maintenant afin de ne pas avoir à attendre trop longtemps pour obtenir le bon violon chez vous.

2. RÉSINE LONGUE. Lorsque vous utilisez un violon, saturez l'archet en frottant de la colophane sur les poils pendant au moins quinze minutes. Le bloc de résine est inclus. Dès qu’il y a de la poudre blanche sur les cheveux, vous pouvez essayer l’arc. Si un son clair sort du violon, c'est fini.

3. SURVEILLEZ LA TENSION. Vous pouvez tendre l'arc en tournant la vis au niveau de la chaussure. Ne tirez pas trop l'arc ! Vous devriez toujours pouvoir pousser les poils doucement contre le bois. Même étirés, la distance entre les cheveux et le bâton doit être plus petite que sur la chaussure. Détendez toujours l'arc après utilisation.

4. TOURNEZ ET APPUYEZ SUR LES BOUTONS DE VOTE. Parfois, un violon ne semble pas accordé. Les chevilles de réglage sont en bois dur conique et se retournent lorsque vous les serrez. C'est normal si vous ne les poussez pas fermement de l'autre côté du casque. Pour ce faire, maintenez d'une main l'aile du bouton dans la bonne position de réglage et de l'autre, saisissez fermement l'articulation de la tête de l'autre côté. Ensuite, poussez le bouton dans le trou de l'autre côté jusqu'à ce qu'il soit bien en place. Une fois que vous avez accordé votre violon avec celui-ci, vous pouvez utiliser les accordeurs fins situés sur le cordier (boutons noirs ou chromés). Les gros boutons de réglage sont alors beaucoup moins utilisés.

A tuning device is also useful. You will find a suitable one, the Cason CS620 or the Joyo JT-01.

NB! Not quite sure of the right size? Please check below BEFORE you order:
Measure from below the shoulder to the fingertips. Pay particular attention to the arm length. The age in the table is an indication. This is not always correct. One child is not the same as the other.

Some important notes when buying a violin and/or bow:

1. VIOLIN SIZE. Are you sure you have chosen the right size? If not, it is best to arrange it now so that you do not have to wait too long to get the right violin to your home.

2. LONG RESIN. When using a violin, saturate the bow by rubbing rosin over the bristles for at least fifteen minutes. The resin block is included. As soon as there is white powder on the hair, you can try the bow. If a clear tone comes from the violin, you're done.

3. WATCH THE TENSION. You can tension the bow by turning the screw at the shoe. Don't draw the bow too tight! You should still be able to push the bristles smoothly against the wood. Even when stretched, the distance between the hair and the stick must be smaller than on the shoe. Always relax the bow after use.

4. TURN AND PUSH VOTING BUTTONS. Sometimes a violin doesn't seem to be in tune. The tuning pegs are made of plain conical hardwood and turn back when you tighten them. That's normal if you don't push them firmly into the other side of the headpiece. To do this, hold the button wing in the correct tuning position with one hand and firmly grip the headjoint on the other side with the other. Then push the button into the hole on the other side until it is firmly seated. Once you have tuned your violin with this, you can use the fine tuners located on the tailpiece (black or chrome buttons). The large tuning buttons are then used much less.
